Southstudio completely refurbished and re-imagined what was a dark series of spaces in this London house to create a light, modern home.
The house was extended so that the kitchen/dining area would work in harmony with the redesigned garden.
The introduction of large windows allows natural daylight into the new kitchen as well as providing views through to the garden and creates inside/outside living. Adding a lightwell above the kitchen also increased natural daylight into the space. The garden has an incredible mix of plants, which the owners can now enjoy from the comfort of the seating area in the new extension.
The loft has been reinforced with steel beams and insulated so that it now more energy efficient and becomes a valuable improvement to the house.
Attention to detail was paramount throughout the house refurbishment. In the living room, timber screen reveals the TV and media. The house reflects the artistic tastes of the owner and has been refurbished and stripped back to reveal the best features.
