Penderyn Way

This domestic project comprises the internal reorganisation and new rear extension of a three -storey terraced house, which was formerly a unit within a large1970’s Local Authority housing development.

The key design drivers are to rebalance the space allocation by creating an additional ensuite bedroom to the existing three bedrooms and enlarging the living accommodation facing the revamped patio garden.

The need to retain existing garden party walls and to minimise the impact of the new extension on neighbours’ rights of light, means stepping in from the boundaries with a fully glazed projecting central bay to create a flow of space into the garden.

The refurb includes new central heating throughout together with new electrical and IT cabling. The resultant accommodation meets Lifetime Homes standards with living, dining, kitchen and associated utility room and separate cloak on the ground floor with four bedrooms and bathrooms on the two upper floors.
