Southstudio were granted planning approval for the Stonebridge Primary School Redevelopment, comprising a new building, demolitions, alterations and refurbishment of the existing Grade II Listed Building together with external works and landscaping.
The School currently operates as two form entry, with bulge classrooms on an annexe site and requires, therefore, to expand into a three form entry primary school to be provided on the enlarged site of the Listed Building.
The school site forms a vital part of a larger master plan for a coherent redevelopment of the surrounding area to include improved transport and pedestrian linkage, new landscaped public amenity spaces together with proposed new residential development.
The new building, which includes six classrooms and an assembly hall, is now under construction and is expected to be handed over to the School in October 2018.
